F-holes or no F-holes? That is the question.

Well, GAS got the better of me again. Picked up an SX Deimos Gold Top to replace my deceased Douglas Gold Top. I had to modify the appearance though. It came with a peach/oringeish pickguard. Putrid. The pup select swith had no plate and the knob on it was also that putrid colour. So... I replaced the guard and knob with a black one. Added a black switch plate with gold lettering. All in all I think they should have made it this way to start with.

Dan, Any wife that gives a guitar like that is defenately beautiful in many ways. You are a lucky man my friend. Is that a Floyd that I detect there? I've had only one experience with w Floyd and it wasn't pleasent. But then, maybe I just didn't understand it's workings all that well. Well, no maybes about it. I didn't totally understand it. It was just around for one night as I set the guitar up for a friend so I didn't have long with it. Nice instrument you have there

Well it's here. My newest result of GAS!! It's a Galveston Ric copy 12 string. Play real sweet too. Pleanty of that Rickenbacker jangely sound. Sure is a pretty thing too.

Just pulled the trigger and purchased this.. The price was super low and I am told by someone at another forum that has one that they are great instruments. So, as I've always wanted a Rickenbacker and could not afford one that this was second best. I'll let you know how it plays once it arrives. Oh yeah, check them out at this address. www.totalmusicsource.com/product_info.php?products_id=105170

Congrats Dan, glad you found it.
I was stumped by that one. Gonna check out that pedal. Not sure I'd use it much, but it sure sounds fun!

Having aquired more gear, I felt compelled to post;
i picked up my Boss SL-20 "slicer" (aka Audio Pattern Processor) at lunch today. I say at my desk and tried not to look or think about it until I got home. Of course the first thing I did when I got home was hook this baby up! This is one effect, I can see now, that I will use and have an awful lot of fun with! You can get strange, space sounding, pulsing sounds just by playing guitar! It's got lots of room for adjustment in most all parameters including the type of pulse or wave you want. Even more cool...you can set tempo with tap setting AND the first note of each measure pulses the tempo light red, the remainder are green. I see now the reason for not storing loops,too. They are so easy to recreate! You don't have to worry about tuning, tempo or any of the regular things. It is tough built, too!
Overall, I like it! It does what I wanted, has a good clean sound and didn't cost an arm and a leg.
