playing with other people is always a good way to learn, they can teach you new techniques and stretch you further and further with each chord change, new strumming pattern or finger picking pattern
I prefer G Em C D, I frequently change it around and add other notes in there for different sounds when I am fooling around, but those are the chords (another order I use is Em G D C, just a different feel)
