Can't an A also be know as a G Double sharp?
Or how about a B double flat?

For me A is nearest to my vocal (Bb, B..ish) while still keeping simple progressions...say blues in A is A/D/E, rather than blues in Bb being Bb/Eb/F...although as I'm getting more fluent the difference is more and more negligible, but for starting…

Cheers for the cool comment buddy, glad you enjoyed Try & Try Again, it sure was a long time in the making, maybe one day will get it into a pro studio to redo, I knocked it up using a Roland Fantom X8, a few sound canvasses then onto a VS1880 so the backing is still a bit thin but its a cool song to play and the punters enjoy it at my gigs so thats the main thing, got me marksmans badge for being best shot with all the weapons they chucked at me many years ago wit the Marines so aint tooo worried about Competitions or trying to impress anybody, Music has just been a fave hobby thats now making me a buck or two gigging. Best to you and yours Mickey ( by the by who is 'she' ? )
